And on the other hand... hahahahahaha lol the 3* is insane.

That passive is WILD, plus a crazy red power that's cheap, and her blue isn't even bad.

This character absolutely smokes the 5*. It's not even close.

Oh Man that yellow paired with Colossus is going to be beastly. everyone get to ascending!

I agree. It really seems like they're just designing characters for ascension, and not trying to make a halfway decent 5.

I get that ascended 4s are supposed to be the big ones, and I'm fine with that. But can we get 5s that are at least ****, maybe even a B-? Something better than "Well I guess when boosted they'll be fine." which applies to practically every 5*.

Omega Red was the last great one. High evo is good but don't see him much. Uhhh who else came out last year, Kang? Kang's awesome. Other than that, nothing (I think, can't seem to find a list for 2023).

Wow. Could pair her with Evo5* and Deathlock since she is a technologist. Evo will be completely insane.

Kang was feb 2023 after him we had:

    Magik
    Spidergwen
    Venomsaurus
    Omega
    Vulture
    Miles
    Peggy
    Goose
    Hunter
    X-23
    Victor

It's been a while since any character is even remotely special.

I don't think ascension is needed, technically, since the increment is %-based, but it helps with survivability... but dem, the match damage will be to the moon!! ;D

Definitely see her paired with Colossus. Either see Cyclops as a third or maybe even Wong. She could use her blue to speed up his yellow CDs to add strikes and increase damage output that way. Decent stun as a bonus.

I figured as she was called "Iron May" that she would be in an iron lung or something but she actually seems quite good!

I’ll bite, why is there another 3* that is likely better than the 5*? This is getting to be a bit much.

It is getting a bit weird now...
The current vault has 500 5* shards in it as a prize, and for the 1st time seeing such a prize I'm just skipping the daily 100 HP pulls - reason being there's just so little to get excited about in 5* tier currently that I have simply left MThor perma-favourited, and consequently it is more appealing to hoard HP for future vaults with 3* supports or ascended characters.

I'm not sure what the point of running down the 5* tier is though, as actually championing a single 3* is such a marathon that it has zero influence on how I play or spend - all I'm actually feeling is apathy about champing 5* characters, which at least used to be something I would hoard and monitor dates for.

P.S. Should have talked about Iron May herself!
Iron Wisdom is just busted, and I will be happy to add her to my 5/1* Ironman and Deathlok PvE team on weeks where Tony is buffed, even just as a humble 3*; currently I use ascended Coulson in that slot, but his countdowns are slow to resolve - doubling Tony's ability damage should offset the loss of Coulson while keeping things nice and brisk.

So did they intentionally make the 3 star way better so they can push people to use the ascension feature?

It's been this way for a while now with the 3 being better than the 5.

My speculation is because it lets them have time to evaluate the 3 stars power set more clearly as players gradually ascend them. Then they can do 'nerfs' to the ascended versions whenever they want because there is no official power set posted for the ascended versions of these characters so there will be far less outcry.

Why chasm, May's boost shouldn't stack with his should it? Same with colossus?

I ran May/Hunter/Doop in her event and did 100k on a single move several times.
