I cast a vote for a particular card -- balance got my vote -- though it was a hard choice between that and some other contenders (stuff like ancestral recall, sol ring, yagmoth's will, wheel of fortune).

I realize your contest was to vote for only one card that already exists. So my next suggestion is well outside the rules of the contest, but since this contest invites participants to dream big, here's my biggest dream: you release a cycle of lands -- one for each color -- that each convert two gems to their particular color. Having a land that converts 2 gems to one color for each color that are always in standard would do wonders for deck building.
