Menace? [Investigating]

Maybe I'm not understanding menace in MtgPQ correctly...

This situation has a technical issue and a bug.

In regards to menace, my opponent had the creature Nullpriest of Oblivion, which has menace.  I had out Halana and Alena, Partners, which has reach.  I summoned Kiora's octopuses, also with reach. (see pics)

That should qualify as two creatures that can block a menace creature, right?  Greg attacked and was not blocked by either creature, dealing damage to my Planeswalker (see pics).





The bug in this situation is the missing gem in the bottom right corner (see pics), which was there for about half the game.  This issue has happened a few times in the past month, I have no idea if it's specific to a Planeswalker or a conversion trigger or what.
