Divine Visitation bugged or intended? [Can't reproduce]

Karn the GC disables artifact creatures. I had a stack of Thopters from Thopter Network, which became disabled when greg cast Karn the GC. So far, so fair.

I then cast Divine Visitation, and next turn the Thopters produced from Thopter Network were turned into Vigilant Angels by DV. Vigilant Angels are White creatures, but Karn GC disabled these too. I now have two stacks of disabled tokens. Bah.

Now, the Angels, on checking, have the creature type 'Angel Artifact'. The text of DV says "Whenever a non-Angel token creature would enter the battlefield under your control, create a Vigilant Angel Token instead." And it defines a VA token as "Creature - Angel"

It looks like it has added the Angel sub-type to the transformed Thopter instead of replacing it.
