The "MTGPQ isn't PTW!" HoD Pauper deck challenge!

Recently I challenged a player to take on a day's worth of TOTP with a Standard Pauper deck.

A couple of weeks later someone took me up on the challenge, and won!

Who's ready to take it to the next level?

Who thinks they can win 300j from this weekend's HoD by coming in the top 5 with a pauper deck (only commons and uncommons)?

We've no way of verifying the results, of course, so we're just playing for fun! If you fancy having a go, comment, "I'm in!"

WARNING: This will be a very tough challenge!! Good luck!!!  ;)

It's impossible. Pauper challenges are better suited to PvE where you know what you going to face. Against completely random plat level PvP decks it's already too difficult/luck based to do it using your full collection.

Not impossible, although certainly very difficult.  Someone in my coalition used to run Pauper for every event and he usually finished close to perfect.  Of course, that was back in HOU/IXN times, so it would be much harder now.  But it is definitely possible.

You know what : that is exactly the kind of game variant mode we need in this game.

I didn't yet start and thanks to the devs I gave up my spot in the top 2/5/10 coalitions I've got access to but joined a casual group. I might consider it

Your results are going to be horrible.  I usually win 90% of my games.  I have run into sooooo many decks in this event that don't follow the node rules and are looping.

If the computer doesn't get the points, they should be given to you, so people don't enter trolling decks in their alt accounts.

Lost 50% (2 of 4) of my matches, as the computer also has ESP in this event.

Close to perfect is not perfect.

I was doing the challenge but my intention was to master cards. I have nothing to lose for a horrible event that octagon refuses to retire.
So far so good with 2 objectives lost. My challenge is even more difficult for using 100% non-mastered cards.

Not gonna lie, I am getting wrecked pretty hard right now. I cant seem to get credit for killing enemy creatures in the bolas node. I haven't met an objective yet on the bottom left node. And... I have never lost to a naruduplicate deck before today but my opponent has done turn one combo on me twice today. I lost both of the naruduplicate matches although I killed naru 3 times in one of the matches but she eventually overcame the pauper army and got me. Currently 106th place with my pauper decks.

Seriously.  I ran into a Koth deck that was nothing but 3/3 haste creatures. (with some 4/4 and 1/1 thrown in).
Literally just 8 creatures or whatever his max is.  He got enough cascades to spam his second every other turn or so and have a full hand of new creatures whenever I killed the ones out.

It was the most **** fight I've seen in a long time.  And I can't imagine what node that could have been for either.

Final score with 3 pauper decks was 242
Not sure how That will place me but probably not very good. 2 match losses. The game crashed right after I won one match I even got the win screen but I did not get my points. I struggled hard on the bottom left node.

A full coalition of people scoring that would currently be in 10th place
