Please don't run the new event tonight

After the update we had a bunch of players locked out from the game. Now it seems that the matchmaking algorithm is broken and we cannot load any deck in AIX, TG or TotP. Every time a new event has been introduced there have been a bug barrage.
What about waiting to introduce the new event after you solved the login issue?
Why not giving us some safe pve event while you fix all the issues?
Please, disregard this message if everything is going as expected

I second this. I'm locked out myself and heard the same from people in my coalition.

They really shouldn't run any coalition events in this sorry state the game is in at the moment.

Same here. Sww for TG. I assume that I would get sww also for AIX, but I am not going to risk the crystals now. FS is OK though.

I am not trying to be cynical here, I am really curious: How does apple store/google store let an app like this go through as broken as it is with every update? What do they actually check when an update comes up? Just legal stuff? We have seen that a quality testing of the app does not seem to take place at all, but shouldn't the store itself stop a not functioning application before it hits us?

I guess we would all have to complain to Google or Apple to prevent them from giving D3 a platform to offer this game.

I think that they are updating server to the new event and perhaps to the 2.8.1 version they have advised to solve login errors.

They should have sent and ingame message to warn players about this errors.

I was not aware of this; but, good to know!

But is it just me or am i skeptical about it all.

Anyhow, on topic, agree with original poster

    Just an update.
    SWW error on TG.
risked the crystals & found same SWW error on across Ixalan.
    FS is working ok.

I mirror the comments above, prefer to skip the new event until the game calms down.

Another note, I do really like the visual updates with the new version.  Like the shield indicator on the supports.

I was able to get a match on TG just now and... I have started the match. Thank you!

@Oktagon_Daiane the sww errors are solved. Thanks. Was that due to the patch to fix thelogin issues?
If that is the case, I wouldn't have written the post if I had found a message in the game inbox explaining it.

Also, if they did it to patch the server to solve the login issues it seems that didn't work out. We have still a lot of players (and I mean about 5-10% of our group of coalitions) locked out from the game.
They cannot play the new stuff neither to help our coalition nor for themselves and this is not fair.

As of last night, I was still hearing from players in my coalition who could not access the game, those who I had connections with outside of mtgpq.

This doesn't cover players in coalitions whose only method of communication was via in-game chat.

To start a coalition event today with a significant number of players still locked out, with no method of communicating to those players that they need to uninstall and reinstall the game to play, would be a terrible idea.

please consider relaying that back to your team before the event starts.

    • It won't be fair to players who were locked out and unable to participate
    • it won't be fair to players whose coalitions lost points because their teammates couldn't join
    • and if you turn it into a non-coalition event or cancel the event after event-start then it won't be fair to players who were actually committing time into the event as if it was a real coalition event.
Please consider these things before it's too late.  Some group of players is guaranteed to lose out here.

They released an update today that ostensibly will let people back in the game and cut down on the problems we're having.

Which I believe is great; but, unfortunately, does not accommodate the fact that those players have to be notified/aware of this, take necessary steps, etc. And my best guess is that the affected individuals are not all in the same timezone so that would complicate things. Additionally, with 30-mins to an hour to go, its going to be rough. I hope they make it but unfortunately people will be left out.

Overall the event is going better than the first run of rto, but it will looks like it wasn't playtested thoroughly:
    - you reach progression after 2.2 rounds while there are a total of 10 rounds.
    - again 3 days extending for a large part over Monday. They did the same with rto, it was bad then, it is bad now
    - new graphics, new bugs: sww as before, game can freeze when the menu is opened, etc.

I'm still convinced that they could have waited another week before throwing us the new event. At least after the login issue was completely solved
