**** just happened? Is there a way to cheat on PVE's?!?

I'm currently #2 in my bracket for the Tower Sub.

Before I went into my match, I checked to see how many points I needed for 1st. I was about 1000 behind. Which was awesome, 6-10 matches of grinding and I could possible take 1st, or at the very least, close the gap.

After my match, maybe 5-6 minutes, I checked again, only to see that the leader jumped almost a 1000 more points, leaving me almost 2000 behind him.

I thought that if you were in top positions like this, your scaling keeps you from getting ridiculously high pt nodes. I know that since I hit top 5, I have barely seen anything over 200, maybe 225. But usually 100-150 for my bigger nodes and 35-80 for the smaller ones.

icon_e_confused.gif I'm so confused right now, because I thought that I finally had an understanding of how scaling works. So either I really don't, or someone found a way around it.

Can anyone explain this? Has it happened to anyone else?

Edit: Proof reading.

  • I think I just figured out what happened. I think.

I stopped playing to eat. Was #3. Came back from lunch, now #2.

Since you can't lose points on PVE, the only thing I can assume, is that the points are not being refreshed or added as soon as you complete the node.

The ruberbanding is pretty tame, so he probably just started his clear after you and ground it all out
  • Due to the weak rubberbanding it actually makes a lot of sense for the guys ahead to keep on grinding because there's a very good chance the guys behind may never catch up.
