Use hostage taker's power on a flipped werewolf or eternal token and it dies why you try to play it, why?

Yeah, well I don't think the token is supposed to go into your hand.  The ability works like a bounce spell to your hand, which means any token would be destroyed instead.

I had the same thing happen with a plant token from dowsing dagger.  It went in my hand and showed as a rare card.  Took 14 mana to cast it back to the board and then it instantly died.  I assume the 14 mana is because it assumes Hostage Taker's mana cost?

Anyway, pretty sure this thread belongs in the "Bugs" thread @bken1234

Tokens don't exist anywhere but the battlefield. If you put a token into hand, it simply ceases to exist, this has always been the case in this game (try using a blue bounce spell on creature tokens, and you'll see it just dies instead)

Using it on a flipped werewolf, however, should put it into your hand human-side up. Might be a coding error.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll pass this along to the QA team for review.
