A Stronger Community with D3

We all use this community to gripe and such -- but what do we really want to make it stronger?

I'd like to see weekly communication like the Development Thread, but with other stuff as well -- like a schedule of events and what PW are coming, maybe a preview of upcoming sales or when retired sets are coming back to the vault.

Let's keep this positive, because @Brigby works hard for us and is really trying to make this an amazing community!

    I saw this and wanted to chime in.

    We've (I've) hoped and requested such things for months. It's honestly the biggest reason why I stopped playing.

    It would go a long way for this game if they share a little more. Even if they just pop in to say they're not at liberty to share, but even that never happens.

    More info would definitely be a plus. The UI improvements have been good for the most part but I'd like to know when certain PWs and card sets will enter/leave the vault to better manage my crystals. Event schedule would be great so we have more time to test deck ideas.

    An event calender would be great. And a preview of upcoming sales would be a make thing.

    Hi Everyone. If advanced information is something the community would appreciate, then I can compile a list together and see if the developers can provide that ahead of time.

    Would this list be a good start:
      - Single Player Event Schedule - Coalition Event Schedule - Upcoming Special Offers (
    Might be tricky, because that's not exactly my department, but I'll see what I can do.)
    Anything else?

    Also, when it comes to upcoming Planeswalkers, Octal9 is correct in that you can always find that information here: Which Planeswalkers Are Currently Available in the Vault

    When old sets rotate back to the Vault, an extended schedule for pws, so that people stop asking when X will be available in the Vault.

    How the planeswalker rotation system actually works, at the moment a lot of people are very confused about it. Also can make a strong suggestion to the devs that they set aside a specific time (just 15-30 minutes) in work hours that they spend up here on the forums answering questions and passing out information

    Also I don't believe that the dev team has actually been introduced, the only people we know are Will and JC, who is lakestone? Is it just Will and JC that make the game? (I know, unlikely) or are there others? And if so how big is the team working on Puzzle Quest?

    The link doesn't tell me when Ob is coming back. The system for PW rotation has me stumped.

    Magic/random weighted chance, because it's not a set rotation. Ob Nix & Kiora should have arrived before L2.

    Drop rates. Brigby we need word from you the devs anyone on drop rates. They suck, they are arguably the single largest flaw in the game, and might I remind you that the thread over in suggestions and feedback, from late August last year, has 80 upvotes. *80 UPVOTES* if there's anything this community wants, is word on the drop rates. And please don't try and convince us they're fair, because they aren't CLOSE to fair. The amount of people opening Big Boxes and getting 1 rare is disgusting. This kind of drop rate is horrible and something NEEDS to be done. Literally every player would appreciate it.

    While, like everyone else, I would like information on drop rates, I believe that is proprietary information and wouldn't be something that Brigby would be given access to -- thus I would not have any expectation of this in any type of regular communication.

    They'll never tell us drop rates because they want the freedom to change them whenever they want.

    while We have Your attention could you notify dev team about tie breakers ?
    solution suggested here viewtopic.php?f=31&t=56927 seems ideal ?
    Everyone who score same number of points should end up on a same place this is particulary damaging to UTC players from England and Europe where last node starts at 9AM which is when most of us starts job so we would automatically be excluded from top places unless we abolish rule first come first server and reward equally based on skill not time

    I have inquired before, but unfortunately I do not have any information to provide to the community regarding the drop rates. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    could you notify dev team about tie breakers ?
    The team is already aware of the issue regarding the need for tie breakers in events. Will has previously touched base on this topic in the Developer's Thread:
    There are a few factors that can increase or decrease the number of ties. The main ones are:

    1) The maximum battles playable in an event
    2) The difficulty of your opponents and the optional objectives
    3) The granularity of the scoring
    4) The number of potential opponents

    While you're correct that there's currently no guarantee, we're actively balancing the above factors to limit the number of ties. (For example, in this week's Nodes of Power I believe there were only two players in Platinum with a perfect score.)

    As I mentioned before, we're looking into a few long-term options for better tie resolution.

    Any information on plans to rebalance cards would be nice and an agreement to post proposed rebalances early enough that we can have the community provide constructive feedback.

In my (Gold) pool for the current **** event the top 11 (and probably beyond) are all sitting on the max score, and it's only been two hours since the final set of battles became available. Losdamianos' suggestion is a good one, and if the dev team somehow isn't aware of that solution could you please pass it on to them?
