Let's talk War Machine

I'm debating with myself on whether to champ War Machine. I'm not looking to 5*, and quite content in 4* land. I have 17 champed 4*. Cyke, Bobby, JG, HB. Don't have Rhulk or Peggy as the other members of the top tier, but I am doing well with variety in the 4* realm.

I like using different teams, and of my 17, I only have one 4* regret - Elektra. I don't regret Fury, Thing, Antman or even Captain Falcon, even if not getting a ton of regular use. I'm enjoy using KP (my mini goal is to get every countdown to go off). So I like variety, and fun characters more than PVP dominators.

I'm sitting on 500K ISO. I have Mr. F, Carnage, IW, and War Machine at 13 covers. I have 1 IW, 2 WM covers queued. Personally, I would rather WM than IW. I have Peggy at 12, Chulk at 12, Kate at 11, MK at 11, and PunMAX at 11.

With 2 WM covers in the queue, do I pull the trigger and champ him? I wouldn't hesitate on Peggy, MK, PunMAX, or Kate, but I just don't have the covers. And I actually want to champ new Chulk. So what's the verdict on WM? Would YOU do it?

I champed him and do not regret it, but like you I like using a variety of characters. I also focus more on PVE (I only PVP to 900 for the 4* cover and stop, so no opinion on his worthiness for PVP), and I think he is great for PVE. Also since you say you are enjoying using Kingpin, I think you may find using Rhodey fun WITH Kingpin. Champed Kingpin + Warmachine is a full active rainbow and Rhodey's countdowns can help you trigger KP black if push comes to shove. WM green gives you three (at five covers) and I often find I do not mind blowing up one of the three if Kingpin's poke is charged up when I fire WM green. I love using them both champed together and especially for wave nodes. You can add in whoever else you want, but if Kingpin and Warmachine have a wave to get set up, they can really do some damage. I am also partial to Rhodey's blue power and bring him in against protect tile spammers or invisibility reliant teams.

Anyway, YMMV, but count me as Warmachine fan.

I like War Machine a lot too. His green causes awesome board destruction and his blue fills a unique niche by removing invisibility tiles (very handy!). He's not the first fourstar you should champion, but when you have a stable fourstar roster (which you do), you can get lots of fun out of him.

I'll agree with the other posters. He is a fun character to play. I champed him last month and haven't regretted it.Strangely enough IW is my next target with 4 covers waiting.
