Ok, been playing this game since the day it released. I paid for the starter pack. I bought all the planeswalkers old and new (dropping real money). I bought some of the special offers for crystals and runes. Overall I spent about what I spend on Hearthstone but for a much reduced game but hey it's Magic themed and on Android and I liked where it was going. I hoped there would be a way to buy or craft cards but was giving the devs time to bring that in.

But now I see Kiora for €56. What kind of crazy is that? That's 50+ packs of cards in Hearthstone. That's an actual decent real paper Magic card or an official WOTC Commander Deck that is playable and decent out of the box. I'd pay €10 max especially if I could craft cards and especially if there was a F2P path but paying a reasonable amount just allowed us to get what we want faster.

This is some serious nonsense. I'm out. Dev's, I would have happily dropped €50 a month on this game if I could have had a path to craft cards and buy planeswalkers at a reasonable cost. That's €600 / year gone. I'll keep an eye on the forums every now and then and if anything changes then I'll consider coming back. I can't imagine I'm the only one leaving.

For anyone else considering leaving but thinks they already invested too much time or money to quit then I suggest you read this: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/commun ... tupid.html

Hey, maybe I'll go save some money and play pauper on MGTO where you can have pretty much all the top decks for ~€100 in total as the cards overlap between decks.

Guess what i popped onto the forums to complain about as well.

Seriously D3go (i know it's you who set prices) have some damn integrity. Perhaps even a little self respect.

I know you're baiting out the big spenders, trying to get some clear figures about where you're pricing should lay with this title but come on. £40? the same price for a boxed AAA console title, and you're giving us a piece of digital content we don't actually even own?

Sigh, I know this won't help though. I Guarantee that this post, word for word, has been posted a dozen times already. Everyone knows we're being exploited and ripped off but we still keep playing. It took 2 years for MPQ to stablize into something boarding on fair.

    wait, i've got an idea...

Pricing is the major problem with everything in this game. You pay more than the real game of magic, with **** odds. 5 vs 15 in a pack with every pack having a rare. Open 4 packs here and no rares for you. Why would I pay more for less? Only reason I still play is the I was around before the pack drop rate nerfs and the time restricted free pack, so I have descent set one cards. New players? I just can't imagine the pool of cards they have unlocked, but if its like my set 2 cards, they will quit too. I just can't believe you guys added the most overpowered planeswalker to the game at $50. $15-$20 and I may have considered this one just because of the sheer power two colors together would have.

It's so sad too - two-color PWs are legitimately exciting and open up whole new ways to build decks. I was so excited and looking forward to seeing if they'd ever do it and if so, how. I feel bad for Hibernum_JC who seems to be doing fun, interesting things but can't control whether people get to play with them. Dude, if you or the team are ever in SoCal I'll happily treat you to a nice dinner to say thanks.

My comfortable price-per-month would have been about half SorinMarkovs, which is still serious coin. At least they didn't make me agonize over it by making it a close call. I can spend that on actual MTG instead and maybe get to draft more often or build some fun decks.

I'll keep checking back, maybe things will change. The problem is once you do things like this, if you *do* decide to change your price structure you alienate your best users by undervaluing what they paid so much for.

Irving: Thank you for reminding us that Hibernum_JC isn't the one setting prices. I've been complaining like others, but unlike you I failed to credit him for his good work.

Hibernum_JC The reason I am so upset about the pricing is that I am very excited about the new plainswalkers you have created. I really DO want to purchase them, I just can't justify the price. Please continue creating an awesome game. Your work is appreciated. Hopefully those who set the prices will hear what we are saying and will make changes.

Assuming that MPQ has stabilized into anything worth playing is a misconception. That game is still too overpriced, grindy, and frankly- downright insulting when it comes to reward structure. This game is heading that way as well. I knew this coming into it (being a D3 game) but I had hoped for the best. If they do decide to release Kiora for a reasonable crystal cost (50-100) then the sky is not falling. Otherwise, this game is done. P2W kills any concept of fun/strategy.
