October's 5* Release Leaked!

After feeling bad about how Hulk only had one release and how 3* Spider-Man was neutered, the developers asked Marvel to create a new character that would be released in Marvel Puzzle Quest even before his character hit the first issues! My friend is a writer with Marvel and he confirmed that the following is 100% true. The following may not be true

History: On Earth 198, Peter Parker saves his uncle from being attacked. However, a short while later uncle Ben is diagnosed with cancer and soon passes away. Peter Parker devotes his life to finding a cure and teams up with another brilliant young researcher, Bruce Banner, to discover the cure. Peter believes that the answer lies in the spider venom of the spider that gave him his powers. Bruce believes the answer lies in a new Gamma radiation therapy.

One day at the lab, one of Peter's spiders escapes and enters Bruce Banner's gamma lab. While Bruce was setting up the gamma chamber, he is bitten by Peter's spider, causing him to lose consciousness in the lab. After being bombarded by the gamma radiation at the same time as he took the spider's bite, Bruce Banner had the powers of both Hulk and Spider. When Peter found Bruce in the lab, he attempted to revive him. Upon regaining consciousness, however, Bruce lost control and became the Hulk for the first time. During this time, Bruce throws Peter against the wall, shattering his spine.

When Bruce regained control, he learned that Peter would never walk again. Feeling great responsibility for what he had done, Bruce took up the mantle of Spider-man, hoping to atone for what he had done, while also learning to control what he had become: The Incredible Spider-Hulk!

Spider-Hulk(Passive)
Bruce is hit hard enough to cause him to lose control. When this character receives damage greater than 5% of his total health, randomly place a 3-turn Spider-Hulk CD tile on a basic tile and restore 20,000 health. While this tile is in play, maximum health is increased by 20,000, match damage is tripled, and anytime this character receives damage increase the CD on all Spider-Hulk tiles by 1. If a Spider-Hulk CD tile is matched, destroyed, or neutralized, Spider-Hulk takes 20,000 damage.

Level Upgrades

Level 2: Only lose 15,000 health. Level 3: CD tiles can overwrite enemy special tiles, only requires 3% damage to trigger. Level 4: Ability damage increased 1.25x while tile is present. Level 5: Trigger is calculated based on current health rather than maximum health.

Web Fists - 7 AP
Spider-Hulk channels the Hulk's rage and Spider-Man's webbing to create a unique ham-fisted attack. The attack packs a mean punch and the webbing holds the enemy in place for a finishing blow. If there are more than 6 web tiles on the board, destroys all web tiles on the board and deals 8,500 damage; otherwise deals 5,400 damage, stuns the enemy for one turn, and creates Web tiles on 1 random basic tile.

Max Level Upgrades

Level 2: Deals 9,300 or 5,700 damage, 1-turn stun, and creates 1 Web tile. Level 3: Deals 9,999 or 6,400 damage, 1-turn stun, and creates 2 Web tiles. Level 4: Deals 12,200 or 6,700 damage, 1-turn stun, and creates 2 Web tiles. Level 5: Deals 14,800 or 7,000 damage, 2-turn stun, and creates 3 Web tiles.

All Smashed Up - 9 AP
Spider-Hulk lashes out, randomly thwipping, smashing, and generally working himself into a frenzy. Choose a basic tile to turn into a strength 575 strike tile. All basic green tiles within the 3x3 radius around that tile are destroyed and all basic tiles in that radius become Web tiles.
Max Level Upgrades

Level 2: Strength 650 strike tile, also deals 2,000 damage. Level 3: Strength 700 strike tile, also deals 3,000 damage. Level 4: Strength 775 strike tile, also deals 4,000 damage. Level 5: Strength 900 strike tile, also deals 6,000 damage.

Peter Parker as the Hulk actually happened in "Bullet Points" (earth-70105), and in an old earth-616 story, back in the eighties (web of spider-man #70).
