Is it just me or is anyone else treating TU's like trophies?

After playing a bunch of events both pvp and pve, I've started to get into the habit of trying to collect all the best ones at max level. I've got furys yellow and blue, sentrys green and red, dakans blue and all 3 of LazyThors.

I'm gutted I missed out on Devil Dinosaur tho, hopefully there'll be another chance soon!

Just wondering if anyone else is doing the same?

    No hate them, lol. Seriously they are useful in pve, but pvp those are the last ones im trying to collect.

    Yup.

    They are Megalixirs for me. Saving them for that one-in-a-millon rainy day that will never happen. icon_lol.gif

    I have all 20 slots filled, but only because I have 1 bullseye murderous aim that I keep forgetting to get rid of. The rest are high level Patch, Steve Rogers (aka... one of my favorite heros, and my very first 3* when I started playing), a couple high level Fury blue and yellow, a couple Devil Dino, and 3 DareDevil, 1 of each color. I am saving them for when I am in a situation with low health, no Hp, and just a few points from my desired rank. Then I will use them to take out a high point node and be done. Then sometimes I take them with me in a very hard match as back up, just in case, but only use it if I don't have a choice.

    Plus, I like to just look at them every now and again. Just knowing I can use a DevilDino anytime I want I very comforting.

    How did you get a few devil dino TU? I though it was a once only node..

    I hold on to the good ones I have, which is exactly one...a level 166 Magnetic Translocation.

    And these stupid things have no rhyme or reason. Somehow, today the AI used Hulk's Thunderous Clap as a Team Up while the opponent had Hulk as a member of their team. That makes absolutely no sense at all.

    Same with me. I know it makes little sense too, because what are we even saving them for? Some really tough boss later on? I don't even know, but someday I am totally going to throw that level 200 Nick Fury down on someone...someday...

    You think that's bad? I've had the computer use 4 TUs in one fight. And then there's the sneaky TU that places a countdown title with no animation. 2* hawkeye comes to mind. Oh, and the worst thing I've seen? Turn 1 TU by the computer. Really? Turn 1? THAT makes no sense. Does the computer get TU boosts or something?

    Trophies? No way. 90% of the time I use them is because I am trying to get rid of them. Since the A-team I use these days is Patch/C.Mags I have more than 10 TU of their powers I can't use in pvp. One of these days I should use them in Sim. Or I could just continue ignoring them as I've been doing for the last 10 days.

    I'm glad I remembered to use up a TU before the 'boss' fight at the end of Thick as Thieves. Sadly I didn't get the lv222 Magneto purple but I guess blue has it's uses.

    Yes that's the other challenge, trying to get enough TU power to get rid of the worst covers, I think Iron Mans blue Moonstone's Black and Capt A's Yellow are the worst offenders!

    Go to prologue with only goons.. present to them your tank team and focus on getting those nineteen TU gems..
    Doesn't matter if your team loses in the end. The aim is to get rid of Yelena.

    This would not be necessary if devs give us an option to discards these elixirs.

    Here's the catch-22 for me: you want to save TUs for a tough fight, but when you have a tough fight, you end up boosting and finishing it ASAP, way before you get enough TU tiles. So when exactly are we supposed to burn a good TU?

    I felt the same way until I ran into that 175 C.Mags/Hood in Thick as Thieves... I assembled those Avengers all over their faces. Now I have a 175 Magnetic Translocation in its place. icon_lol.gif

    I hope you placed well in the event for the expenditure. Also, Boo-Yeah Fury's release for The Hulk!

    Might still hang on to the Fury TUs, though.... icon_e_geek.gif

    I now have 7 Hulk 'Smash' TU's between 251 and 314. I pity the poor saps that run into those against my teams in pvp.

    Scary, but IceIX said that on defense your TU's are drawn from all the possible ones & not the ones in your inventory, so those poor saps could be eating a Supernova or World Rupture instead of your Smash TUs...
